If you have some knowledge about what you are doing and how to set your site up OR have a designer/programmer who is helping you to set things up, I can enthusiastically recommend HostGator.com. Big bang for little buck. If you need a little more structure, then you might want to go with GoDaddy.com's hosting. It's still fairly cheap, but has decent novice add-ons that work well. I like GoDaddy.com for domain name registration either way. Good luck!
