Web Hosting?

Hello. I am going to start creating a personal website. It's going to be some what like http://www.whateverlife.com with the HTML editing and navigation bar. I need to know a good, professional website hoster that is not too expenive. It should be no more than 12 dollars a month. Also, what are some good website editor programs? Lastly, will you include a link to your website that you created with the program or web host? P.s. I don't want ANY advertisments or links that say "WEB HOSTING PROVIDED BY ..." Thank you! I choose best answer based on time, simpleness, and helpfullness!

  2. If you're looking for a web hosting, i suggest the www.dot.tk there is a free plan (advertising support) or paid plan (no adverstisement) with unlimited traffic. If you're looking a file hosting to save your files, i suggest the www.ripway.com which provides unlimited bandwidth to all paid account, select your plan, the higher the plan, the more space you get.
  3. for totally free webhosting you can try http://frreehostia.com/ and for three months trial you can try at http://host.allexpert.info/ last one is best for me
  4. Jennifer. Your budget is more than ample for almost any web host out there. I'd suggest you look at what else they offer. Do they have telephone support or all email. Do they give you free database space like MySQL or MS SQL Server, this might be helpful down the road. Google 'website hosting' and evaluate each based on your needs. I use several for various projects. I think you would be better served to do this on your own so you make sure you get exactly the type of host you need for your project. You really don't state your level of competance at building a website. For small to mid-level websites i'd review: http://coffeecup.com They have software that is easy to use and you can hand code or drag and drop. Free trials on everything they have and a forum to speak with other users. For database driven websites I use Microsoft Visual Studio and Dreamweaver. These are quite demanding with a requirement that you understand programming and database technique. Finally. You can also get free templates from MS that are generally pre-loaded by the host and all you have to do is fill in the blanks. http://www.asp.net/community/projects/ DotNetNuke is very elaborate and has tons of modules which can be loaded. These all have samples setup on that link I just gave you,
  5. GoDaddy's economy plan is as cheap as it gets and will suit your needs just fine. If you want a free Web editor, take a look at http://www.nvudev.com I don't currently host on GoDaddy economy and I don't use nVu, but I have in the past.
